Job Duties
- Greet, engage and assist customers actively
- process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- handle various payment tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, offline SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons
- adhere to company policies regarding cash shortages, overages, and restricted sale items
- report pricing discrepancies to Scan Coordinator
- follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- stay current with store ads and promotions
- comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines
- identify and report unsafe conditions, accidents or issues
- perform preventive equipment maintenance and report repairs
- create welcoming customer environment by answering product questions
- comply with local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
- work cooperatively in high-paced environments
- manage conflicts reasonably and cooperatively
- act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues
- provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
