Job Duties

  • Greet, engage and assist customers actively
  • process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • handle various payment tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, offline SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons
  • adhere to company policies regarding cash shortages, overages, and restricted sale items
  • report pricing discrepancies to Scan Coordinator
  • follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • stay current with store ads and promotions
  • comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines
  • identify and report unsafe conditions, accidents or issues
  • perform preventive equipment maintenance and report repairs
  • create welcoming customer environment by answering product questions
  • comply with local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
  • work cooperatively in high-paced environments
  • manage conflicts reasonably and cooperatively
  • act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues
  • provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
