Job Duties

  • Greet, engage and assist customers actively
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using the POS system
  • Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC and coupons according to company policies
  • Adhere to guidelines on cash shortages/overages and restricted sale items
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow established policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Stay current with ads and promotions
  • Follow all food safety regulations and safety procedures
  • Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
  • Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions about products and store services
  • Comply with local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
  • Manage conflict in a nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
  • Demonstrate honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
  • Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
