Job Duties
- Greet, engage and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using the POS system
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC and coupons according to company policies
- Adhere to guidelines on cash shortages/overages and restricted sale items
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow established policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with ads and promotions
- Follow all food safety regulations and safety procedures
- Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions about products and store services
- Comply with local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
- Manage conflict in a nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
- Demonstrate honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
