- Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk preferred
- Ability to follow directions and work cooperatively
- Ability to manage conflict reasonably and respectfully
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Greet, engage and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and loyalty offers
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, overages, and restricted sale items
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with advertisements and food safety regulations
- Identify unsafe conditions, comply with safety procedures, and practice preventive maintenance
- Provide a welcoming environment and answer product-related questions
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
- Manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance as needed
- Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults through direct interaction
- Perform essential functions with or without accommodation
