Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively
- process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons
- adhere to company policies on cash handling, restricted sale items, and coupon use
- report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- maintain food safety standards and comply with all local, state, and federal laws
- promote a safe environment by identifying hazards and notifying management
- assist customers by answering questions about products and ensuring a welcoming shopping experience
- follow company procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and loyalty offers
