Job Duties
- Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service
- Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return
- Greet, engage and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers
- Follow company policies for sale of restricted items and pricing discrepancies
- Adhere to food safety regulations and safety programs
- Identify unsafe conditions and report to management
- Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
- Answer questions about products to ensure customer satisfaction
- Manage conflict calmly and professionally
- Follow local, state and federal laws as well as company guidelines
- Provide direct support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
