Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using the POS system
- Handle various payment tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons per company policies
- Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages and work to control loss
- Follow guidelines on restricted sale items and report pricing discrepancies
- Stay current with pricing, promotions, and store ads
- Adhere to food safety regulations and reinforce safety programs
- Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering product inquiries
- Comply with all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in high-paced environments and manage conflict constructively
- Maintain equipment by reporting repair needs
- Provide support for minors, individuals with special needs, and seniors
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
