Job Duties

  • Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, offline SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons according to company policies
  • Adhere to limits on cash shortages and overages and work to control loss
  • Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs
  • Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
  • Follow established policies and procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Stay current with seasonal and promotional ads
  • Comply with all food safety regulations and safety programs
  • Identify unsafe conditions and notify store management
  • Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
  • Provide product information and create a welcoming environment for customers
  • Adhere to local, state, federal laws, and company guidelines
  • Manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
  • Provide support for minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
