Job Duties

  • Greet, engage, and assist customers actively at the checkout
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Handle various tender types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers according to company policy
  • Adhere to company guidelines on cash shortages, restricted sale items, and loss control
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Stay current with seasonal, special, and future ads
  • Comply with food safety regulations and store safety procedures while identifying and reporting unsafe conditions
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and notify management of repair needs
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering product-related questions and fostering a welcoming environment
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal laws along with company policies
  • Manage conflict cooperatively and maintain honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Seek assistance when necessary and support customers including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Efficiently perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
