Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively
- process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- handle various payment types including cash, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons
- adhere to cash shortage and overage guidelines while controlling loss
- enforce company policies on restricted items such as alcohol and tobacco
- report pricing discrepancies
- follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- stay updated on current, seasonal, and special ads
- comply with food safety regulations
- reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions
- perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repair needs
- create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- adhere to all applicable laws and company guidelines
- work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
- act with honesty and integrity
- follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
