Job Duties

  • Greet and engage customers actively
  • process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • handle various payment types including cash, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons
  • adhere to cash shortage and overage guidelines while controlling loss
  • enforce company policies on restricted items such as alcohol and tobacco
  • report pricing discrepancies
  • follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • stay updated on current, seasonal, and special ads
  • comply with food safety regulations
  • reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions
  • perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repair needs
  • create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
  • adhere to all applicable laws and company guidelines
  • work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
  • manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
