Job Requirements
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to interpret, understand, and follow instructions
- Ability to move, lift, carry and place merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
- Ability to frequently reach overhead, below knees, and perform physical activities such as pushing, pulling, squatting, kneeling, bending, stooping, crouching, and twisting
- Continuous repetitive motion with hands and arms such as grasping, gripping, and turning
- Ability to stand and/or walk continuously for up to 4 hours without a break
- Visual ability to locate merchandise and verify small print information
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and indoor environmental changes
- Possible exposure to allergens and chemicals
- Completion of PEP survey, drug screen, employment reference check, criminal background check, or credit check as part of employment process
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle cash and operate a register system accurately
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of customer service principles
Job Duties
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently while adhering to company policies and legal regulations
- Perform proper bagging techniques ensuring food safety and product integrity
- Provide excellent customer service by identifying and addressing customer needs
- Promote additional store services and upcoming events to enhance customer experience
- Apply problem-solving skills to quickly address and resolve customer issues
- Maintain safety and quality standards in all aspects of work
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and team members
