Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum one year of retail cashier or food service experience
- ability to operate cash registers and POS systems
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
- capability to stand for long periods and lift a minimum of 25 pounds
- reliable, responsible, and dependable
- commitment to safety and allergen policies
- adherence to company service values and ethics
- ability to work under pressure and meet time deadlines during peak periods
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year experience as a retail cashier or similar role operating cash registers
- strong customer service skills
- experience in cafeteria or food operations
- knowledge of setting up or restocking beverage and product displays
- basic computer skills
- familiarity with electronic equipment including POS systems
- good math skills
- strong communication and time management skills
- customer satisfaction oriented
- prior experience handling cash and credit card transactions
Job Duties
- Accurately record sales on a cash register and make change for customers within a 1% margin of error
- respond to customer concerns in a professional and urgent manner per company policy
- follow all safety rules and be observant in accident prevention
- operate cash register accurately
- recognize menu items and charge customers correctly
- prepare and stock service areas for hot and cold beverages
- clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment
- provide customers with product details such as coffee blends and preparation descriptions
- ensure service setup is clean, neat, and attractive with proper signage
- maintain inventory of paper, beverage, condiments, and grab & go items throughout the day
- perform side work and end-of-shift closeout tasks
- provide exceptional customer service and maintain neat cashier stand appearance
- work efficiently to move customers through the line quickly while complying with HACCP guidelines
- assist with front-of-house setup and breakdown of food products
- perform side work including opening and closing shift tasks
- follow other duties as assigned
