Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Full-time availability for day shift
  • Certification in ServSafe
  • Experience in food service preferred
  • Ability to handle cash transactions
  • Compliance with sanitary and HACCP regulations
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation

Job Duties

  • Operate cash register to collect money for meals in employee dining room
  • Prepare food for employee cafeteria as needed
  • Handle food in accordance with sanitary and HACCP regulations
  • Calculate cost of food items, accept payment, and make change
  • Maintain cashier area including menu board, price book, and supplies
  • Count and summarize cash, prepare deposits, and balance registers
  • Memorize daily menu and item costs
  • Prepare salad bar for staff ensuring proper food temperature
  • Act as backup for Rainbow Cafe cashier position
  • Follow pre-established food par levels to meet salad bar requirements
  • Estimate food preparation time to meet cafe menu schedules
  • Perform other duties as assigned
