Job Requirements
- must be at least sixteen years of age
- ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- ability to follow instructions
- ability to move, lift, carry and place merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
- ability to frequently reach overhead and below the knees and perform various physical motions such as pushing, pulling, squatting, kneeling, bending, stooping, crouching and twisting
- ability to stand or walk continuously for up to 4 hours without a break
- ability to visually locate merchandise and verify information often in small print
- may be exposed to varying weather conditions and indoor environmental factors
- may be exposed to chemicals or allergens
- employment contingent upon passing PEP survey, drug screen, employment reference check, criminal background check or credit check
Job Qualifications
- must be at least sixteen years of age
- previous experience operating cash register or handling cash preferred but not required
- ability to understand and follow instructions
- ability to lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds
- good communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- process transactions quickly and efficiently by giving customers undivided attention and following company guidelines
- perform proper bagging techniques to ensure food safety and product quality
- provide services such as carryout assistance and informing customers about store services and upcoming events
- solve problems by defining issues clearly and using critical thinking skills
- adhere to safety and quality standards to protect self and others
