Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- basic math skills
- ability to operate retail machines including cash register and credit card terminal
- ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- ability to maintain a clean and organized store environment
- capability to stand for extended periods
- ability to follow cash handling procedures accurately
- availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

- mathematical skill to count, add, subtract, copy, and record figures
- skill in operating cash register, credit card machine, and gas pump console
- written communication skill to fill out routine forms and records
- oral communication skill to interact courteously with co-workers, customers, and vendors

- ability to read and understand written instructions, memos, and procedure manuals

Job Duties
- Accurately operate cash register and monitor gas console
- follow all cash handling procedures for cash, credit cards, checks, lottery, and drops
- properly account for all sales transactions
- maintain accurate inventory through correct pricing
- keep store clean, well-stocked, and in first-class condition
- maintain high cleaning standards including parking lot, restrooms, stockroom, and equipment
- clean spills to remove safety hazards
- acknowledge and greet customers while providing high-level customer service
- assist customers in locating items in the store
- comply with suggestive selling program and build displays to promote sale items
- perform other duties as assigned or requested
