Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years of accounts receivable experience in higher education
  • Proficiency in basic Excel
  • Experience in cash application and accounting
  • Experience with student accounts and financial aid
  • Experience with BvA or Colleague ERP systems
  • Ability to work full-time onsite Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
  • Eligibility to work in Norfolk, VA
  • Strong analytical and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of accounts receivable experience in higher education
  • Proficiency in basic Excel
  • Experience in cash application and accounting
  • Experience with student accounts and financial aid
  • Experience with BvA or Colleague ERP systems
  • Experience in higher education is highly preferred
  • Open to candidates with local government experience due to state requirements

Job Duties

  • Audit cash reports and prepare the university's daily bank deposits
  • Run required jobs and perform testing
  • Analyze, research, and post adjustments and/or errors
  • Post contracts to student accounts
  • Assist with training departments
  • Update desk manuals for all cashiering procedures by drafting modifications
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by the supervisor
  • Provide accurate information to students, parents, and other departments via counter or phone
