be at least 18 years of age
have a high school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of recent cashiering experience
outgoing and friendly behavior
positive attitude
ability to interact with customers
ability to operate front end equipment including register, calculator, and scanner
dependable and reliable
ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
good communication skills
ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
ability to perform repetitious activities
ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized
ability to lift/carry product weighing up to 30 lbs
ability to use both hands to move grocery carts requiring force up to 35 lbs
strong attention to detail
proficiency with numbers
proficient in cash handling and mathematical skills
ability to read, write, and count

Job Duties

process each customer's order quickly, accurately, and efficiently
ensure complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service
accurately handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and change
assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints
follow all front end procedures
assist with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting
maintain checkout areas in a clean and orderly condition
communicate effectively with front end manager and Head Cashier
execute other related duties as assigned
