Job Duties
- Greet, engage and assist customers actively at the point of sale
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
- Handle various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, offline SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, coupons and loyalty offers
- Adhere to company policies regarding cash shortages, overages and restricted sale items
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with seasonal and special promotions
- Comply with food safety regulations and reinforce safety procedures
- Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
- Provide product information and create a welcoming environment
- Follow applicable laws and company guidelines
- Manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
- Act with honesty and integrity when handling customer and business information
- Seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues
- Support individuals with special needs, minors, and older adults
