Job Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry products weighing up to 30 lbs from 36 inches to 24 inches for distances up to 3 feet
- Ability to use both hands to move grocery carts requiring force up to 35 lbs for distances up to 4 feet
- Willingness to perform repetitious tasks
- Dependable and reliable work ethic
- Flexible availability to work changing schedules
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience
- Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior
- Demonstrate positive attitude and customer interaction skills
- Ability to operate front-end equipment including register, calculator and scanner
- Show good communication skills and ability to take direction
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and stay organized
- Proficient in cash handling and mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to read, write and count
Job Duties
- Process customer orders quickly and accurately
- Handle customer cash, credit/debit payments and change
- Assist customers by providing information and resolving complaints
- Follow front-end procedures and assist with stocking shelves, facing and dusting
- Maintain knowledge of weekly advertisements and store events
- Communicate effectively with front-end manager and Head Cashier
- Keep checkout areas clean and orderly
