Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- basic customer service experience
- ability to stand for extended periods
- excellent communication skills
- basic arithmetic skills
- ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- physical ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds

Job Duties
- Engage customers in friendly conversation while making eye contact and smiling
- proactively offer additional assistance and thank customers for shopping at Wegmans
- efficiently and accurately scan items and process payments at the register
- properly bag items to ensure products remain in good condition
- manage traffic flow in self-checkout areas
- direct customers to available self-checkout lanes
- ensure self-checkout lanes are in good working order
- assist customers with self-checkout troubleshooting
- maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace
