Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • reliable attendance and punctuality
  • ability to work variable hours including weekends and holidays
  • adherence to Smashburger uniform policy
  • successful completion of the Smashburger training program
  • ability to comply with all company procedures and employment laws
  • possession of authorized U.S. work documentation
  • participation in E-Verify system

Job Qualifications

  • No prior experience required
  • must be 16 years or older
  • able to stand for extended periods
  • capable of lifting up to 25 pounds
  • able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
  • complete Smashburger training program
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • knowledge of food safety and cash handling guidelines
  • follow company policies and external employment regulations
  • legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a smile
  • promote a fun and positive work environment
  • work effectively with team members and communicate with cooks and managers
  • be knowledgeable of all menu items and make meal suggestions
  • verify guest orders for accuracy and manage to-go orders
  • process POS transactions and follow cash handling procedures
  • visit tables after food delivery to ensure guest satisfaction
  • adhere to marketing promotions and encourage guest surveys
  • maintain cleanliness of floors, counters, dining area, and restrooms
  • follow safety and security standards
  • listen, communicate and collaborate well in a busy restaurant
  • follow company cash policies to minimize losses
  • upsell food items through thoughtful suggestions
  • follow order accuracy procedures
