Job Requirements
- Customer service experience
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math including counting, addition, and subtraction
- Ability to work cooperatively in fast-paced environments
- Ability to manage conflict calmly
- Honest and reliable with business and customer information
- Ability to follow instructions and ask for assistance

- Experience assisting diverse customer groups
- Prior experience as a bagger or courtesy clerk preferred.
Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers actively and courteously
- Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using POS systems
- Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons
- Adhere to company policies on restricted sales and cash handling limits
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay updated with current and seasonal ads
- Comply with all food safety regulations and safety procedures
- Identify and report unsafe conditions and equipment needing repair
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- Manage conflict in a calm, cooperative manner
- Maintain honesty and integrity in handling customer and business info
- Provide direct assistance to minors, seniors, and individuals with special needs.
