Job Duties

  • Greet and assist customers actively and courteously
  • Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using POS systems
  • Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons
  • Adhere to company policies on restricted sales and cash handling limits
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Stay updated with current and seasonal ads
  • Comply with all food safety regulations and safety procedures
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions and equipment needing repair
  • Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
  • Manage conflict in a calm, cooperative manner
  • Maintain honesty and integrity in handling customer and business info
  • Provide direct assistance to minors, seniors, and individuals with special needs.
