Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • physical ability to stand and lift up to 25 lbs
  • punctual and reliable
  • flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays
  • adherence to Smashburger uniform policy
  • completion of Smashburger training program
  • ability to follow company and legal guidelines
  • legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • participation in E-Verify program

Job Qualifications

  • successful completion of Smashburger training program
  • able to stand for extended periods
  • able to lift up to 25 lbs
  • strong communication skills

  • knowledge of cash handling and POS systems

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a smile
  • promote a fun and positive work environment
  • work effectively with others on the line and communicate with cooks and managers
  • be knowledgeable of all menu items for meal suggestions and answer questions
  • verify guest orders for accuracy
  • manage to-go orders
  • process POS transactions and follow cash handling procedures
  • visit tables after food delivery to ensure guests have everything they need
  • adhere to active marketing promotions and encourage guest surveys
  • maintain cleanliness of floors, counters, dining area and restrooms
  • follow all personal and food safety and security standards
  • communicate and work well in a busy restaurant environment
  • uphold integrity and follow company cash policies
  • upsell food items to guests
  • follow order accuracy procedures to minimize waste
