Job Requirements
- Score of 90% or better on all Health Department inspections
- score of 90% or better on all mystery shopper reports
- follow dress code requirements including blue jeans or khakis, solid color shorts, ESC T-shirt or fishing shirt with ESC logo, ESC hat optional, black non-skid shoes
- maintain confidentiality of client and company information
- respect coworkers' space and need for concentration
- participate in quarterly meetings and yearly evaluations
- at least 16 years old for Cashier or Busser, 18 years old for Bartender or Maintenance
- physically capable of standing and walking up to 10 hours
- able to lift between 10 and 100 pounds
- capable of climbing stairs or ladders
- able to perform simple math and handle cash transactions
- mentally alert and capable of following instructions
- maintain hair above collar length
- promptly answer telephone or intercom in a courteous manner
- maintain adherence to all operational and safety policies
- report hazards and take corrective action when necessary
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid TABC certification for bartenders
- valid Nueces County Food Handler's Permit
- ability to speak, understand, read and write in English
- certified trainer experience preferred
- previous experience in customer service or hospitality
- friendly and upbeat personality
- good personal hygiene
- ability to work AM/PM shifts and flexible hours
- strong communication skills
Job Duties
- Bring restaurant issues to FOH Manager to take to weekly meetings
- meet or exceed "Water Street Way" standards for cleanliness, product quality and guest satisfaction
- implement all systems and forms for Bar/Cashier/Bus/Main operations
- assist in the training of all new personnel (Certified Trainer)
- adhere to all the policy and procedures of Water Street
- maintain valid TABC certification and a Nueces County Food Handler's Permit if working as Bartender
- ensure Cashiers maintain a valid Nueces County Food Handler's Permit at all times
- promptly and courteously greet, seat and take food or beverage orders from customers
- stock and maintain inventory of items needed for food and beverage service
- record sales and waste of food items and beverages
- maintain clean and neat work area by performing assigned cleaning tasks
- clear tables, reset for next customers, and maintain clean floor areas
- take out trash to dumpster as needed
