Job Requirements

  • Customer service experience

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist customers actively and courteously
  • process customer transactions efficiently and accurately at the checkout
  • handle various tender types including cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and refunds
  • adhere to company policies on restricted sales items and cash control to minimize loss
  • identify and report pricing discrepancies to scan coordinator
  • follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons administration
  • stay updated on current, seasonal, and special promotional ads
  • comply with all food safety regulations and safety procedures
  • report unsafe conditions or accidents and notify management
  • perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repair needs
  • create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions about products
  • comply with local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
  • manage conflict in a professional and cooperative manner
  • maintain honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • seek help when necessary to resolve customer and business concerns.
