Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

- previous cashier or customer service experience preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills

- ability to work early morning shifts starting as early as 6 a.m.
- basic troubleshooting skills for self-checkout systems
Job Duties
- Engage customers in friendly conversation while making eye contact and smiling
- proactively offer additional assistance and thank customers for shopping at Wegmans
- efficiently and accurately scan items and process payments at the register
- properly bag items to maintain product condition
- manage self-checkout traffic flow and direct customers to available lanes
- ensure self-checkout lanes are operational and assist with troubleshooting
- maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace
