- ability to stand for extended periods
- availability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- basic proficiency with technology
- ability to handle cash and electronic payment processing

Job Duties
- Engage customers in friendly conversation while making eye contact and smiling
- proactively offer additional assistance, thank customers for shopping at Wegmans
- efficiently and accurately scan items and process payments
- properly bag items to ensure products arrive at their destination in the condition they left the store
- manage traffic flow in self-checkout area, direct customers to available lanes, ensure lanes are in good working order and assist customers with system troubleshooting
- maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work space
