Job Requirements
- Must be at least sixteen years of age
- Previous experience operating a cash register or handling cash preferred but not required
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions
- Ability to move, lift, carry and place merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
- Ability to frequently reach overhead and below knees including pushing, pulling, squatting, kneeling, bending, stooping, crouching and twisting
- Continuous repetitive motion with hands and arms
- Ability to stand or walk continuously for up to 4 hours
- Ability to visually locate merchandise and verify information often in small print
- May be exposed to various weather conditions and indoor environment variations
- May be exposed to chemicals or allergens such as latex, eggs, nuts, soy, wheat
- Employment contingent upon completion and evaluation of PEP survey, drug screen, employment reference check, criminal background check, or credit check
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least sixteen years of age
- Prefer previous experience operating a cash register or handling cash in retail or grocery environment
- Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds and standing for extended periods
- Basic problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to following safety and quality procedures
Job Duties
- Process transactions efficiently and accurately following company guidelines
- Perform proper bagging techniques ensuring food safety and product quality
- Provide customer services by identifying needs and offering appropriate solutions
- Resolve customer issues using critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Emphasize safety and quality in all tasks following established procedures
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues
- Comply with company policies including attendance, dress code, and safety standards
