Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 16 years required
- On the job training typically provided
- TABC/LACT certification required where applicable
- Ability to stand and walk continuously
- Ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Ability to bend, kneel or squat frequently
- Ability to use close and distance vision continuously

- Ability to maintain accuracy and multi-task in fast-paced environment

Job Duties
- Ensure correct checkout totals for customers by properly weighing, keying, and scanning items
- Maintain accurate money count in register at all times
- Access or memorize product codes and remain familiar with ad and special items
- Remain current on tender policies and procedures related to checks, credit, debit, coupons, EBT, WIC, AML
- Maintain friendly and customer-service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, locating and promoting products, responding to complaints
- Promote enrollment in Thank You Card program and assist customers with sign up process, where applicable
- Ensure groceries are bagged properly by putting like items together, limiting bag weight, preventing food cross-contamination, ensuring customer receipt of all purchased items
- Take precaution when handling objects to avoid damage to products, property, etc.
- Ensure front-end racks, drink coolers and cleaning supply stations are stocked, cleaned, and presentable
- Maintain clean, safe and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures
- Accountable for adhering to all local, state, and federal laws regarding sales of restricted items such as tobacco, alcohol, and cannabis-based and pharmaceutical products
