Job Duties
- Greet customers and provide exceptional service
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system handling cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers
- Adhere to company policies regarding cash handling, restricted items, and loss prevention
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow established procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Maintain food safety standards and comply with all regulations
- Identify and report unsafe conditions, perform preventive maintenance inspections
- Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering product-related questions
- Follow local, state, and federal laws along with company guidelines
- Manage conflict in a cooperative and professional manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
