Job Duties

  • Greet customers and provide exceptional service
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system handling cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers
  • Adhere to company policies regarding cash handling, restricted items, and loss prevention
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow established procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Maintain food safety standards and comply with all regulations
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions, perform preventive maintenance inspections
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering product-related questions
  • Follow local, state, and federal laws along with company guidelines
  • Manage conflict in a cooperative and professional manner
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
