Job Requirements

be at least 18 years of age
have a high school diploma or equivalent
have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience
demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior
have positive attitude
ability to interact with customers
ability to operate front end equipment including register, calculator, scanner
be dependable and reliable
ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
good communication skills
ability to take direction and constructive criticism
ability to participate in a team environment
ability to perform repetitious activities
ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized
must lift/carry product up to 30 lbs
must use both hands to move grocery carts horizontally requiring a force up to 35 lbs
requires strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers
proficient in cash handling and mathematical skills
ability to read, write, and count

Job Duties

process each customer's order quickly, accurately, and efficiently while ensuring customer satisfaction
handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and change accurately
assist customers by providing information and resolving complaints
follow all front end procedures
assist with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting as needed
maintain knowledge of weekly ad items and provide customers with product location guidance
ensure checkout areas are clean and orderly at all times
