Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent
competency in POS systems
excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
ability to learn quickly
basic math skills
valid Food Handlers Permit if applicable
verbal and written English communication skills
open availability for various shifts
ability to stand for entire shifts
ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch
ability to push and pull up to 20 pounds
good hand-eye coordination

Job Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED equivalent
excellent computer skills including competency in PDI Enterprise POS
excellent customer service skills
excellent interpersonal skills
ability to learn simple tasks quickly and work with little or no supervision
basic math skills
Food Handlers Permit if required by store or county
ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
have open availability to work all shifts as needed at home store and other stores within district

Job Duties

Take measures to preserve the safety of employees and all others in the work location
conduct sales transactions accurately and quickly
operate POS (cash register and fuel console) precisely and accurately handle money and other types of payment received for products sold
perform service transactions including credit card transactions, manufacturer coupon redemption, vendor check-in, alcohol, tobacco and lottery sales, fast food sales
check identification for age-restricted products according to company policy
actively participate in sales promotions and practice suggestive selling
review and adhere to all city, county, state, and federal laws affecting store operations
maintain a neat personal appearance and wear company uniform and name tag
prepare hot food items and maintain condiment bar
ensure store cleanliness including litter, spills, equipment sanitation, and restocking
sweep floors and mop as needed
clean and maintain fuel delivery area and pumps
spot check and restock restrooms
perform regular cleaning of counters, equipment, trash, and windows
organize backroom supplies
receive and stock merchandise deliveries
conduct daily inspections of perishable products
follow company policy on safety and robbery prevention
participate in customer service and team-building activities
act as backup cashier or barista when required
brew fresh coffee regularly
deep clean store facilities during night shifts
prepare for morning rush by ensuring equipment is clean and stocked
perform any other duties assigned by Store Manager
