- Ability to operate a Point of Sale (POS) system
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage conflict reasonably

- Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when needed
Job Duties
- Greet, engage and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently through the POS system
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and loyalty offers according to company policy
- Adhere to company guidelines on cash shortages, restricted sale items, and checkout procedures
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads
- Comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Identify unsafe conditions and notify store management
- Inspect equipment and report repair needs
- Answer customer questions about products and store departments
- Follow local, state, and federal laws and company policies
- Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
- Maintain honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
