Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience
Show outgoing and friendly behavior
Have positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
Ability to operate front end equipment such as register, calculator, and scanner
Be dependable and reliable
Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Good communication skills
Ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
Ability to perform repetitive activities
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized
Physical ability to lift or carry up to 30 lbs
Ability to move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs of force
Strong attention to detail
Proficient in cash handling and math skills
Ability to read, write, and count

Job Duties

Process each customer's order quickly, accurately, and efficiently
Ensure complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service
Handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and change accurately
Assist customers by providing information and resolving complaints
Follow all front end procedures
Assist with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting as needed
Maintain checkout areas clean and orderly at all times
Communicate effectively with front end manager and Head Cashier
