Job Requirements
- be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience
- demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior
- possess a positive attitude
- ability to interact with customers
- ability to operate front end equipment including register calculator and scanner
- dependable and reliable with flexible availability including nights weekends and holidays
- good communication skills
- ability to accept direction and constructive criticism
- ability to work in a team environment
- able to perform repetitious activities
- ability to multitask prioritize and stay organized
- able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs horizontally and vertically for distances up to 3 feet
- able to push grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs force for distances up to 4 feet
- strong attention to detail
- proficiency in cash handling and math
- ability to read write and count

Job Duties
- process customer orders quickly accurately and efficiently while ensuring customer satisfaction
- handle customer cash credit and debit payments and provide correct change
- assist customers by providing information and resolving complaints
- follow all front end procedures and ensure checkout areas are clean and orderly
- assist with stocking shelves facing and dusting as needed
- maintain knowledge of weekly ad items and store events and seminars
- communicate effectively with front end manager and head cashier
