Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively
- process customer transactions quickly and accurately
- handle various tender types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons
- adhere to company policies on cash handling and prevent loss
- enforce guidelines on restricted sales items
- report pricing discrepancies
- follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- stay updated on current and seasonal promotions
- ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- identify and report safety hazards
- perform preventive maintenance and notify management of equipment issues
- create welcoming customer environment
- comply with legal and company policies
- manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
- maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information
- seek assistance to resolve issues
- provide support to vulnerable customer groups
