Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least 1 year of cashier experience
- ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- excellent communication skills
- reliable and punctual
- basic math skills
- availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year cashier experience preferred
- strong customer service and communication skills
- leadership ability to support and motivate cashier team
- proficiency with point of sale systems
- problem-solving skills to handle customer escalations
- ability to train and mentor new employees
Job Duties
- Position cashiers to optimize checkout efficiency
- expedite price checks to reduce customer wait times
- approve point of sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, self-checkout, returns, pro desk, special services, and tool rental
- monitor and maintain the self-checkout area for smooth operation
- provide first level escalation support for customer issues
- assist in the supervision, coaching, and training of front end associates
- participate in training new cashiers and utilize coaching tools to develop team skills
