Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
have a high school diploma or equivalent
possess 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience
demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior
maintain a positive attitude
have ability to interact well with customers
be able to operate front-end equipment such as registers, calculators, and scanners
reliable and dependable
ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
good communication skills
be able to take direction and constructive criticism
participate in a team environment
capable of performing repetitive tasks
able to multi-task, prioritize and stay organized
able to lift and carry products up to 30 lbs
able to move grocery carts applying force up to 35 lbs
strong attention to detail
proficient in cash handling and mathematical skills
must be able to read, write and count

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Process customer orders quickly and accurately
handle cash, credit, debit payments, and change
provide friendly customer service and resolve complaints
follow front-end procedures and assist with shelf stocking
maintain clean and orderly checkout areas
keep knowledge of weekly promotions and product locations
communicate effectively with front end manager and Head Cashier
