Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of recent cashiering experience
Dependable and reliable
Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
Ability to operate front end equipment such as register, calculator and scanner
Good communication skills
Ability to take direction and constructive criticism
Ability to participate in a team environment
Ability to perform repetitious activities
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay organized
Must be able to lift and carry products weighing up to 30 lbs
Ability to move grocery carts requiring force up to 35 lbs
Strong attention to detail
Proficient in cash handling and mathematical skills

Job Duties

Process each customer’s order quickly, accurately and efficiently
Ensure complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service
Handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and change accurately
Assist customers by providing information and resolving complaints
Follow all front end procedures
Assist with stocking shelves, facing and dusting as needed
Maintain checkout areas in a clean and orderly condition
Maintain knowledge of weekly ad items and store events
Communicate effectively with front end manager and Head Cashier
