Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One or more years of cashier experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to handle cash and electronic transactions

Job Duties

  • Provide fast, friendly, accurate and safe customer service at checkout
  • Process checkout and return transactions
  • Monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area
  • Proactively seek product and project knowledge to assist customers and identify sales opportunities
  • Follow policies and procedures to minimize shrink
  • Position Cashiers and support them by expediting price checks
  • Approve Point of Sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental
  • Provide first level escalation for customer issues
  • Assist in the supervision, coaching and training of other Front End Associates
  • Participate in training new Cashiers
  • Utilize available tools to coach and develop other Cashiers
