Job Requirements

  • Less than high school education, GED or high school degree preferred
  • ability to comprehend simple instructions
  • ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • must obtain State Food Handler certification within 60 days of hire
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 60 pounds occasionally
  • willing to work variable schedules including evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet customers with a positive and friendly attitude
  • enter orders into POS system, use suggestive selling of food products to customers, receive payment (cash and credit card), make change and maintain cash drawer
  • present orders to guests and ensure accuracy of order
  • assist with ordering filling as needed
  • read monitor to identify products that need to be prepared
  • notify cook of special orders, shortages and needs
  • perform minor food preparation, stock supplies, clean dining room tables and restrooms, sweep, mop, discard trash and fill ice bins
  • set up workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • communicate with customers, team members and managers in a positive and professional manner
  • maintain cleanliness on the service counter and order presentation counter
  • maintain cleanliness, organization and rotation of the display cooler
  • observe health and sanitation guidelines and follow established procedures to meet high standards of cleanliness, health and safety protocols
  • maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and take ownership of area
  • look for opportunities to assist fellow team members in an enthusiastic manner
  • perform other duties as assigned
  • work variable schedules including evenings, weekends and holidays
