- must be at least 16 years of age or older
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or retail preferred but not required
- basic math skills and ability to handle cash and electronic payments accurately
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in fast-paced environment and multitask
- reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- attention to detail and ability to follow store policies and procedures
- ability to stand for long periods and lift or carry light to moderate loads
Job Duties
- Accurately scan and ring up customer items in a timely manner
- handle customer payments including cash, credit, and debit transactions and provide correct change
- process returns, exchanges, and gift card transactions according to store policies
- offer assistance to customers by answering questions, providing store information, and resolving concerns
- bag groceries to protect items and facilitate carrying
- maintain a clean and organized checkout counter
- follow store policies for sale of age-restricted items
- keep register drawer balanced at beginning and end of shifts
- alert management to register discrepancies or customer service issues
- maintain a positive and friendly attitude
- follow safety protocols and store policies
- assist with restocking shelves or helping customers find products
