Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age to operate register
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic math skills
- Previous cash handling experience preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods

Job Duties
- Greet customers when within ten feet and four seconds of contact by name if possible during transactions
- Assist customers while ringing up and weighing items for purchase
- Bag groceries using the least number of bags
- Check for bottom of the basket to ensure no items are missed
- Verify and balance register till at the beginning and end of shift
- Accept, verify, and process payment from customers including cash, credit, debit, EBT, and checks
- Verify and process WIC checks, purchase orders, merchandise certificates, and coupons
- Check identification for tobacco and liquor purchases and verify payment methods according to company procedures
- Maintain register accuracy and adhere to proper register procedures to meet company performance standards and price integrity
- Refill bag wells, keep workstation clean and organized by dusting, wiping, and sweeping
- Perform duties of a courtesy clerk including assisting customers with groceries and carts
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the manager
