Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience as a Cashier or in a similar role
- Basic math skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Adherence to company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- 1+ years of cashier experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Point of Sale systems
- Customer service orientation
- Supervisory or team leadership experience is a plus
Job Duties
- Process checkout and return transactions accurately and efficiently
- Monitor and maintain the self-checkout area
- Provide customers with product and project information to identify selling opportunities
- Follow all store policies and procedures to minimize shrinkage
- Position Cashiers and support them by expediting price checks
- Approve Point of Sale transactions and markdowns for registers and special service areas
- Provide first level escalation for customer issues
- Assist in supervising, coaching, and training Front End Associates
- Participate in training new Cashiers
- Use coaching tools to develop other Cashiers
