Puyallup Tribal Enterprises (PTE) is the economic development arm of one of the largest Indian tribes in the Pacific Northwest. The organization plays a critical role socially and economically for the Puyallup Tribe by increasing the land asset base and creating jobs and job training opportunities for tribal members. Job Requirements
- 18 years or older
- Good math and cash handling skills
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills
- Ability to problem solve, effectively multi-task, and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with full diversity of public service
- Team minded
- always willing to help others and work with a cooperative spirit to get all store tasks done
- Strong self starter and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
- Handles stressful situations calmly and stays on task despite disruption or distraction
- Ability to obtain a valid Food Handler's Card within one week of employment, no food allergies, and no limitations to handling and preparing full range of food products

- Ability to work at any/all assigned stores in Tacoma and Fife

Job Duties
- Maintain excellent attendance, punctuality, and availability to work a wide variety of days/shifts
- Cheerfully greet guests, suggest and help them select products, and provide assistance throughout their visit to ensure the perfect guest experience
- Accurately and efficiently ring up sales
- Clean interior and exterior of store, stock shelves/coolers/freezers, set up displays, help to train other employees, and prepare food
- Accurately process receiving, inventory/waste reporting, task checklists, POS system reports, and cashier/register reports
- Work with a sense of urgency to get tasks done safely, quickly, and with good quality
- Identify opportunities for improvements, identify potential areas of risk, and share information with key stakeholders to maximize results
- Use all company resources efficiently to promote maximum financial results
- Maintain PTE equipment and assets to maximize return on investment
- Establish and maintain effective business relationships with employees, customers, vendors, business partners, government/regulatory entities, and communities
- Strictly follow workplace safety measures
- safeguard the welfare of all employees, guests, visitors, and business partners
- promptly report workplace risks, incidents, injuries, and near misses
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all sensitive and proprietary business information and safeguard PTE assets at all times
