Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently through POS system
- Handle various payment types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons
- Adhere to company policies on restricted sales items and cash handling
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow established procedures for gift cards, coupons, and postage stamps
- Maintain knowledge of current and promotional pricing
- Comply with food safety regulations and store safety programs
- Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
- Provide excellent customer service by answering product-related questions
- Manage conflicts reasonably and cooperatively
- Follow local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Support customers including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
