Job Requirements

be at least 18 years of age
have a high school diploma or equivalent
possess 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience
demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior
have positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
ability to operate front end equipment including register, calculator, and scanner
dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
have good communication skills and ability to receive direction
able to perform repetitious activities and multi-task
must lift or carry product weighing up to 30 lbs from 36 to 24 inches for up to 3 feet up to 50 hours without mechanical assistance
must use both hands to move grocery carts requiring force up to 35 lbs for up to 50 hours
strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers
proficient in cash handling and mathematical skills
ability to read, write, and count

Job Duties

process each customer order quickly and accurately while ensuring customer satisfaction
handle customer payments including cash, credit, and debit transactions
provide information and resolve customer complaints
follow all front end procedures
assist with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting as needed
maintain knowledge of weekly ad items and store events
keep checkout areas clean and orderly
