be at least 18 years of age
have a high school diploma or equivalent
have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience
show outgoing and friendly behavior
have a positive attitude
be able to interact with customers
be able to operate front end equipment such as register, calculator, scanner
be dependable and reliable
have the ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays
have good communication skills
be able to take direction and constructive criticism
have the ability to participate in a team environment
be able to perform repetitious activities
be able to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized
must be able to lift and carry products weighing up to 30 lbs
must be able to move grocery carts requiring force up to 35 lbs
require strong attention to detail
be proficient in cash handling and mathematical skills
have ability to read, write, and count

Job Duties

process each customer's order quickly, accurately, and efficiently while ensuring customer satisfaction
handle customer cash, credit, and debit payments and provide change accurately
assist customers by providing information and resolving complaints
follow all front end procedures and assist with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting as needed
maintain knowledge of weekly ad items, product locations, store events and seminars
maintain excellent communication with front end manager and Head Cashier
ensure checkout areas are clean and orderly
execute all other related duties as assigned
