Job Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old
no prior experience necessary
ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
punctual and reliable with flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
must adhere to company uniform policy
successful completion of Smashburger training program
legal authorization to work in the United States
ability to comply with local, state, and federal employment regulations

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment
customer service experience is a plus but not required
ability to learn and retain detailed product information
basic math and cash handling skills
friendly and approachable personality
willingness to complete company training program
commitment to following safety and security standards

Job Duties

Greet guests with a smile
promote a fun and positive work environment
work effectively as part of a team with cooks and managers
be knowledgeable of all menu items for suggestions and answering questions
verify guest orders for accuracy and manage to-go orders
process point-of-sale transactions and follow cash handling procedures
visit tables after food delivery to ensure guests have refills and condiments
adhere to marketing promotions and encourage guest surveys
maintain cleanliness of floors, counters, dining area, and restrooms
follow personal and food safety and security standards
listen and communicate effectively
follow company cash policies to prevent theft or shortages
upsell food items through thoughtful suggestions
follow order accuracy procedures to minimize waste and maximize guest satisfaction
