Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One year of prior retail or related experience preferred
- Good verbal communication skills
- Good customer service and organizational skills
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills
- Ability to interact politely and effectively with customers
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Willingness to follow safety, food safety, and PPE guidelines
- Commitment to company policies and guest experience standards
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Operate cash register and electronic scanner to itemize customer purchases
- Process financial transactions including cash, checks, credit cards, food stamps, WIC, loyalty cards, and coupons accurately
- Weigh and carefully bag customer purchases
- Maintain front-end merchandising such as newspapers and candy displays
- Ensure proper use of product identification and report pricing errors
- Communicate company programs, specials, and promotions to customers
- Comply with company policies regarding security, cash handling, and product sales
- Maintain cleanliness and stock levels at the check-stand
- Assist with stocking items as needed
- Follow personal protective equipment and safety guidelines
- Follow food safety and cleaning expectations
- Follow guest experience guidelines
- Support other departments based on customer experience needs
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
