Job Duties

  • Actively greet, engage and assist customers at the checkout
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
  • Handle payment methods including cash, check, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons and complex loyalty offers
  • Adhere to company policies for restricted sale items and checkout procedures
  • Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
  • Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards and coupons
  • Maintain knowledge of current, seasonal and special promotions
  • Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures
  • Identify unsafe conditions and notify management
  • Perform preventive maintenance and report equipment issues
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers
  • Adhere to all applicable laws and company guidelines
  • Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Assist minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
