Job Duties
- Actively greet, engage and assist customers at the checkout
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
- Handle payment methods including cash, check, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons and complex loyalty offers
- Adhere to company policies for restricted sale items and checkout procedures
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards and coupons
- Maintain knowledge of current, seasonal and special promotions
- Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures
- Identify unsafe conditions and notify management
- Perform preventive maintenance and report equipment issues
- Create a welcoming environment for customers
- Adhere to all applicable laws and company guidelines
- Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Assist minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
